Deepening our Relationship to Spirit Guides | Shamanic Wisdom from Grandmother Spider

In this heartfelt episode of Ask SoulBird, I continue the exploration of working with the Medicine Wheel, the sacred Circle of Life, and offer a deeply personal reflection on how to build and nurture a meaningful connection with the loving and compassionate Spirits who walk with us, guide us, and hold space for our human journeys. Through the lens of my own lived experience, I share stories and insights in the spirit of circle storytelling. This is an invitation to come sit by this ceremonial fire with me and wander through the unseen realms as kin. These are not teachings in the traditional sense, but sharings woven from heart to heart, offered in the hope they nourish your own soul path and inspire your loving connection with the invisible worlds. Today's question: How do I deepen my relationship with loving and compassionate Spirits?

In this episode, I speak about my long-standing relationship with Grandmother Spider, a wise and loving Spirit who has supported me on my shamanic path for many years. I explore two meaningful ways I have deepened my relationship with her, and some of the powerful messages she has offered, especially around the nature of negative thought forms.

Grandmother Spider teaches that we are not our thoughts, and that we are the ones who choose what to weave into our minds and hearts. She reminds us of our power to assign meaning to symbols and our responsibility to disentangle from the projections of others that do not resonate with our own Truth. As we do this, we begin to remember that we are all weavers of our own worlds. This video is for those who feel called to work with Spirit, energy, and soul guidance.

It is part of an ongoing series of reflections from me, Roberta Orpwood, shamanic practitioner, Seer, circle storyteller, and the artist behind SoulBird Art. So please, bring a warm drink, settle in, and listen with your heart and inner eye wide open.

With love and gratitude, SoulBird
