‘Cancerian Goddess – A Water Element’ honours the sacred waters of Cancer, the lunar feminine, emotional wisdom and the deep quiet power of intuitive knowing.
An embodiment of Divine Feminine energy, this original painting speaks to the beauty of sensitivity, nurturing presence and the strength found within softness. Floating gracefully beneath the water, with a crescent moon glowing behind her, she reminds us that true power does not always need to be seen or heard, it can flow gently beneath the surface, like an underground river, guided by inner wisdom and the rhythms of the Moon.
This original artwork forms part of The Zodiac Goddess Collection, a series of watercolour paintings created during the early years of SoulBird Art.
Following the creation of my Chakra Goddesses series, these paintings emerged as a continuation of my exploration of the feminine form, spirituality, symbolism and the unseen worlds that inspire my work.
Painted over a decade ago, the Zodiac Goddesses have continued their journey beyond the studio, with their imagery appearing in publications including Kindred Spirit Magazine (2016) and the Moon Time Diary by Iris Detenhoff (2018) and her accompanying 2018 calendar. They have become some of my most recognised and loved artworks from that chapter of my creative path.
