Shamanic Cosmology - The Three Worlds
Shamans stand in prayer, breath carrying sacred tobacco into the unseen, awakening the spirit of plants, as vines curl and weave through the weft of this living tapestry of visionary art. Nature spirits are nestled in the grooves of the painting, reminding us that the plant world is not inert matter, but conscious ally.
Plant Medicine Journey was inspired by my own evolving relationship with the wisdom of the green world and the medicine it has brought into my life. While many assume that shamanism is defined by the use of psychedelic plants, this is not wholly so. Shamanic practitioners journey in many ways - through drum, rattle, song, silence and prayer. Plant teachers are not a requirement of this sacred path.
Yet Master Plants, when approached with reverence and under the guidance of experienced hands and spirit allies, can become profound catalysts for healing and revelation. Some of the journeys I have walked with plant consciousness have taken years to integrate, unfolding their teachings slowly through lived experience.
This painting is an offering of gratitude to the plants who have guided, challenged and transformed me along the way.
