Who are The Grandmothers?

If you have found your way here, perhaps the ears of the heart are already open and listening.
This space has been created as a ceremonial threshold, a place to gather with a group of loving and compassionate guiding spirits I know as The Grandmothers, and to remember something deeper within yourself.
Through my YouTube channel, Oracle of the Grandmothers, I share weekly Circle Ceremonies, gentle, sacred spaces of transmission offered through word, song, silence, and story. This blog is here to help you understand who the Grandmothers are, how I came to walk with them, and what you may receive if you feel called to enter the circle.
WHO ARE THE GRANDMOTHERS?
The Grandmothers are wise, compassionate beings of Spirit who have walked alongside humanity for many moons, tending the ancient fires of the ancestors, the land, the liminal, and the soul.
I experience them as a collective of guiding intelligences, each carrying distinct medicine, yet all woven through a shared field of love, presence, and deep re-membering.
They speak through:
Metaphor
Circle Stories
Symbol
Myth
Healing Energy
Their language is not always direct. It is dream-like, woven with poetry, like a sweet scent re-membering itself upon the breeze. They do not come to offer fixed answers, but to awaken the wisdom that already lives within you.
Their voices often arise through the lens of the Divine Feminine - Grandmothers, Spirit Medicine Women, Shamans and keepers of the hearth.
All who arrive with reverence, curiosity, and a listening heart are welcome here.
HOW THEY ARRIVED INTO MY LIFE
My relationship with the Grandmothers began long before I had words for who they were.
They walked beside me as quiet companions, protectors, and teachers, though I did not fully recognise them until later in my life.
In 2020, during a time of great upheaval in the world, I was called to deepen my connection with them. Alongside my shamanic clan, Path of the Heart, I entered a shared journey exploring how we might contribute healing in such turbulent times.
During this period, I was given a vision that changed everything.
I saw the spirits of a thousand silver spiders weaving threads of light across the world, a vast, luminous web touching both the darkest and brightest places on earth. As I drew closer, I realised these were not simply spider spirits.
They were The Great Grandmothers themselves.
They were weaving.
Weaving healing
Braiding bright connections.
Weaving Love into the fabric of our beloved world.
From that moment, my relationship with them deepened profoundly. Their presence became something I no longer experienced only in moments, but something that lived within my body, my healing work, my art and my way of seeing.
GRANDMOTHER JAGUAR & THE COUNCIL
It was Grandmother Jaguar who first stepped forward and introduced me to the wider Council of Grandmothers.
As my shamanic healing work expanded, so too did my relationship with these ancient allies. From the beginning, they encouraged me to write, to listen, and to allow their words to move through me.
Over time, I came to understand that my role was not to own this work, but to serve as a vessel for it.
Each Grandmother carries her own medicine, yet they speak as a circle, a council of voices guiding through different stages of the soul’s journey.
THE CALL TO SHARE THIS WORK
When the Grandmothers first asked me to bring this work into the world more publicly, I felt deep hesitation.
Who was I to share their voices?
Who was I to carry something so sacred into a public space?
Their response was simple:
“If you do not create it, someone else will.”
That answer shifted something in me.
I understood then that this wisdom was never meant to belong to me alone. The Grandmothers move freely, appearing wherever hearts are open and ready. My role is simply to say yes, to show up, to listen, and to offer what comes through with care and devotion.
THE EARTH EMBERS ORACLE
This path led to the creation of the Earth Embers Oracle Deck, a body of work entirely guided and channelled through the Grandmothers.
They asked me not only to carry their words, but to paint their visions.
As a visionary artist, I have always worked in dialogue with Spirit, but this project deepened that relationship beyond anything I had known before. Through years of ceremony, listening, and creative labour, the deck came into being and will be published this year with Blue Angel Publishing.
It is an offering made of this heart path, one that carries their guidance through both language and image and exists to support others in re-membering their own connection to the unseen and the sacred rhythms of life.
THE CIRCLE CEREMONIES (YouTube)
Alongside the oracle deck, I now share weekly Circle Ceremonies where the Grandmothers Speak on YouTube.
These are not performances nor are they teachings in the conventional sense.
This is a sacred space to sit with the Grandmothers.
Within these gatherings, you may receive:
channeled transmissions
healing through sound, song, and silence
symbolic stories and mythic teachings
gentle guidance and reflection
a sense of being held, soothed, and accompanied
They are offered freely, as a place of refuge and reconnection.
A place to slow down, to soften.
To listen beyond the surface of things.
HOW TO APPROACH THIS WORK
The Grandmothers ask only a few simple things:
Come with respect.
Come with an open heart and allow mind to soften its edges about the certainty of things.
Come with your own discernment and trust that your heart will know Truth when it hears it.
Take away with you what resonates. Let it integrate.
Leave the rest.
Their words are not always literal. They move through symbol and feeling. Often, the deeper medicine is found not in what is said, but in how it lands within you.
This work is not about giving your power away.
It is about re-membering it.
WHY YOU MIGHT FEEL CALLED
You may feel drawn to this space if you are:

drawn to the language of symbol, myth, and Spirit
longing for a deeper connection to yourself and the unseen world

There is no requirement to believe anything.
Only a willingness to listen.
A BLESSING FOR ALL
In these times, when many feel the absence of elders, the Grandmothers in Spirit have stepped a little closer.
Yet they do not walk alone.
I offer my gratitude to the grandmothers of my own blood, and to all the elders, teachers, and kind souls who have shaped my path.
To the ones we called Grandmother, Nana, Granny, Grandma.
To the Crone, the Hag, the Wise Old Woman.
And to those whose names were never spoken, yet were known by the way they lived.
This work honours the human and the unseen together.
May the embers they tended continue to warm us.
May you feel held, witnessed, and gently guided on your path.
