SOUND CEREMONIES WITH ROBERTA & MARTIN
These Sound Ceremonies are jointly run with another very gifted Therapist, Martin – you can find out more about our joint events at ‘Sacred Space Holistics’.
Within these Sound & Gong Baths (known as ‘Sound Ceremonies’) Roberta & Martin bring a unique flavour to the healing experience – you’ll notice the ‘Shamanic’ elements come into play as they invite us to work with the energies of the natural elements of nature to assist rebalancing, inspiring reconnection and relaxation to activate your own bodies innate ability for self healing on all levels.
It is within this restful state you can experience a profound sense of peace and harmony, supported and guided by two gentle yet experienced practitioners of Sound and Energy. They work intuitively together, complimenting each others natural method of holding space for others. They represent both the Yin and Yang, the Male and the female ~ an experience to reflect harmony and perfect balance within those who attend.
We both welcome you to join us – no meditation experience necessary!
What will our Sound Bath Look like?
During Sound baths we suggest for your own comfort that you lie down, usually upon yoga mats with a blanket to keep you warm as your temperature may drop during the session. Eye masks are sometimes favoured to help you feel calm and heighten your other senses, especially your hearing. Roberta and Martin often start and end their sound baths with light stretches to help ease your body into the most comfortable position for total relaxation, and to help ground yourself fully back into the body. A variety of different instruments such as Crystals Quartz Singing bowls, Tibetan Singing Bowls, Chimes, Gongs, the voice and percussion instruments are played creating sacred sounds to facilitate an inner journey. During the sound bath some instruments will be brought around the room and played near or over your body, but no physical contact is necessary for the session. Some people have described this experience as a ‘sound massage’ as the vibration of some instruments can be powerfully felt right through the body shifting stagnant energy.
A Sound Bath can be an unforgettable experience for those who seek deep relaxation, rejuvenation and exploration of an inward journey. Once you have experienced your first Sound Bath… it’s likely you will want more.

(Please note some base mats are provided at this venue but we highly recommend bringing your own yoga mat for extra comfort and support)

This Thursday I travelled from Bristol to attend Martin and Roberta's Sound bath in Barnes for the first time. I had no idea what to expect. It is completely different to anything I have experienced before. I have never so easily slipped into a completely calm state. Their gorgeous sounds just melted through my body. It felt in that time that I was the only one. It is such a personal experience. Although it was a small group, it wouldn't matter how many people were around me, I felt completely at ease.. thoughts of others completely vanished. I know that my mind travelled to a beautiful place and when we were gently brought around at the end of the session, my body felt incredible. When I stepped through the doors at the start, I had achy muscles and tension due to stress. My mind was very active, thinking about personal issues I have currently. When I left, all I felt was calm. It is now two days after the sound bath and my mind still feels clear and my body is still relaxed. If I could (lived closer) I would definitely attend regularly. I felt so much benefit. As it is, I shall drive over as and when I can. One last thing I'd like to comment on is the actual sound this stunning pair make.. it is out of this world. Such beautiful voices! No words will do them justice. It needs to be experienced to be appreciated and understood. Thank you for an incredible experience.
