What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms
If you would like to contact us using the contact forms, your name and email will be collected in order to allow us to respond to your enquiry. This information is stored and password protected via our third party service provided; Hotmail – which is a free online email service operated by Microsoft corporation. Please see their Privacy policies here.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Who we share your data with
We do not share data with third party marketers. We may use third party service providers such as Hotmail & Mailchimp to process and store user data. Please read their privacy policies here; Hotmail (email service provider) and Mailchimp (Marketing platform).
How we store and how long we retain your data
Comments
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
Newsletter
Your data will be stored for only as long as is necessary for the relevant activity, or as required by law (insurance purposes). The Email and name of Newsletter subscriber’s will be stored indefinitely. You can unsubscribe at ANY time (name and email deleted) which means you will no longer receive our newsletter.
One to One Services
If you are attending 121 therapy sessions: Personal data collected may include, your name, phone number, email, address, medical/health and wellbeing status (past and present), voluntary personal information in relation to your treatment and why you are seeking help. The information collected is only relevant for the purposes of giving you the best treatment possible. This information is stored safely and securely via email using password protection, anti-virus and malware protection software. Printed and written records are archived and held securely in a locked cabinet in my office. This data is kept up to 7 years after completion of your treatments for insurance purposes (UK Law) – after this time all information is destroyed. You may request that your information be deleted at anytime.
All clients details and records are kept in the strictest of confidence. We will not share information with anyone else unless you give us express permission to do so i.e referral to another health care provider. The only exceptions to this is when we are required to by UK law – i.e when a client is considered to be a danger to themselves or others, or if we are required to do so by court order.
Etsy
If you are purchasing items from me via my Etsy shop: Your information pertaining to your order (your name, address, order info) are kept safe and secure with password protection at all times. To follow the regulations with GDPR, the details you have provided through the platform of Etsy are retained to enable the processing of your order, then archived to be kept as required for tax purposes (UK law). All information is security protected. It will not be used to contact you without your prior consent or initiating a conversation via my etsy shop or my personal email. You are free to withdraw consent of contact at any point and data processing will be paused if an objection is raised.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
How we protect your data
When you give us information we make sure your personal information is kept safe and secure. All data is stored on password protected computers or in the case of hard copy details, stored in secure premises.
